How I Managed My Monthly Budget

Filed under: Self Improvement Management, Your Finance Resources — admin at 5:05 am on Friday, February 19, 2010

Doing my monthly budget has always been a nightmare, juggling between regular monthly bills and unpredicted expenses. As soon as I received my paycheck, it was already spent. I get lots of bills every month and put them off to the last minute, then dealt with them all in a flush. This results in me taking money from the next pay just to make it through. The problem was not related to how much money I made, it’s that I had no control of my budget. Worse yet, any emergency put me even further in debt.

Most of us have been in this position. We try to be cautious with our money, but long before the month is over, the money is gone. Paying Off bills is a juggling act that we don’t have the time or energy to handle. There’s always one bill that was overlooked or delayed, one more expenditure we weren’t consenting for. With school supplies and fees for the kids, groceries, new tires for the car, and the rising cost of petrol, just making it from paycheck to paycheck is tough enough; saving money is out of the question. Meanwhile, debt is slowly piling up. I asked myself how I can get my budget under control?

Fortunately for me, I found a service which will help me manage my money more wisely and take away the stress of paying off monthly bills, letting me focus on the things that really matter to my family. No more concerning over where the money will come from; I can finally relax, knowing that my finances are in good hands.

The financial planning process:
Usually during your initial consultation, your budget consultant will look at all of your present debts and monthly payments and organize a program that works for you. They will set aside money for savings, emergencies, and long-term investment, ensuring your family’s financial security. If you are planning a major purchase, this will be forecasted into your budget so that when you are ready to buy, the money will be there for you.

Your paychecks are generally deposited with your financial planner, and a separate account is set up for your living expenses. Your bills are directly delivered to your budgeting consultant for payment. There is a chance that your consultant can lower your monthly payments and reduce your outstanding debt by negotiating with creditors. A affordable monthly fee is assessed for all these services.

For me, the greatest monthly service my budget consultant provides is peace of mind. No more hassle with bill payment; I know my bills will be paid on time, and that I’ll have money in reservation for life’s little emergencies. My budget is finally under control, thanks to my financial planning service.

Getting Real Interviews at Job Faires

Filed under: Sales + Marketing, Self Improvement Management, Web Center — admin at 9:51 am on Monday, January 25, 2010

Standing out at a Job Fair can make a difference in your search. Career Fairs are starting to pick up, and Dice is running some nice ones, called Targeted Job Fairs. At a Silicon Valley Career Faire in January, 10 companies as showing up, and a major job search company has 82 career fairs scheduled for 2010 across the States.

How do you get to the real interviews at a Job Faire? The rivalry can be substantial, but you can help yourself surpass from the herd with advance preparation. At AA-Careers, we have a simplified six-step process to get ready. Plan to go? Here’s how to prepare:

First, investigate the organizations that are going and pick your targets. Use the World Wide Web to research the organizations that are there ahead of time. Go to their websites and see if they have their jobs listed. Pick a small number to target, and get ready to spend up to an hour researching each one. It’s hard to do more than eight in a day, and four or five is a much more reasonable target. For each hiring company, you want to know: recent news, key product lines, and exectuve names. Try to see if you know anyone at the target companies. You will end up with with a page or two of research for each company/job.

Second, if there are job openings on the web, read them to see what the organization is looking for. Create a mapping of your achievements and skills to the requirements of the job. Make the nomenclature match. If the hiring company calls customers "clients", your resume should do the same thing. The accomplishments should be written in the style of the hiring company.

Third, create a ‘thumbnail sales pitch’ for each potential company/position combination. Write down a ninety second ‘thumbnail’ that you can repeat out loud depicting why you are a key prospect for that position. You’ll use this in your resume and when you meet the company at the job stall.

Fourth, modify your resume for each job type. The objective on your resume should exactly match the position you’re targeting. The executive summary should be a written form of your “mini sales pitch” for the job. Then choose the achievements and skills that most clearly match the job description. Especially at a Career Faire, the purpose of your resume is a sales tool for you – to get you on-site job interviews. It should be simple to see that you’re a match based on your resume.

Fifth, dress and prepare as if you’re doing on-site interviews. Dress nicely and be well groomed. Don’t over do-it (this isn’t a date!) and don’t underdress (no jeans or t-shirts, no matter how much you paid for them). Avoid strong cologne or perfume.

Finally, rehearse your ‘mini-sales-pitch’. Collect your research and the resume for each spot - bring a couple of copies for each – and put each in a distinctly marked folder. Keep them in a light briefcase or folio.

Remember to smile, and good hunting!

Job Search Using the Net to Succeed

Filed under: Life Of Technology, Self Improvement Management, Software Resources — admin at 5:55 am on Wednesday, December 23, 2009

A modern job hunting campaign is by nature quite complicated. While the net has offered a variety of new channels, it also creates increased competition for choice jobs and possible challenges for job hunters.

Job search needs to be thought of as a highly personal, very aimed marketing operation where you are the product. Your resume is an ad. Your extended network of contacts is your inside source for information and job leads.

So where does the internet fit in? At AA-Careers, we just posted a job on a popular job board and got 600+ applications in a week. For a single position. That’s increased competition for job openings.

Had a strong person gotten ahold of us before we posted the ad, they could have secured the position before having all that competition. How? By finding someone who knows someone at our company who became aware of the job prior to posting. Everyone was aware of the job for at least 14 days before it was posted. Who in your network might know of a job that’s coming available soon?

Be careful how you submit your application as well. When we did an analysis of the 650 resumes, we found a large number of errors. 63% of the applicants were easily eliminated with a swift triage process. How? The same way any HR professional would. By eliminating resumes where the objective didn’t match our job description. By eliminating prospects whose cover letters gave us reasons not to engage them, like "I know I’m overqualified but I really need a job". By eliminating prospects whose documents that didn’t open properly. And by eliminating candidates who didn’t bother to spell check their cover letter and/or resume.

So the great news is that job sites give you a feel of what companies are hiring, and for what kinds of jobs. But once those jobs are posted, the competition is intense. You can still compete, if you have a well written resume, designed to appeal directly and clearly to the recruiter. And if you have practiced interviewing – so you don’t stumble at a critical point.

Another potential problem to be aware of is how quickly you can be checked out on the web. As we Googled several candidates, we ran into some Facebook comments that were in questionable taste. Nothing illegal, but enough to tilt our thoughts about who to employ.

AA-Careers provides a all-inclusive set of services for Bay Area job seekers, providing our clients a personal career consultant, a managed job hunting campaign, modern tools like a personal website, video, highly targeted resume, and much more. Let us know if we can help you.

Be careful out there, and good hunting!

Some Dieting Myths Expained

Filed under: Self Improvement Management — admin at 9:16 am on Monday, July 6, 2009

As we all know, there are loads of dieting myths that needs to be explained. First off, people should not be so afraid of potatoes, bread and pasta, the leading sources of carbohydrates. Carbs are great, you need them and you won’t feel hungry after eating them. This will make you more disciplined in reducing your over all food intake..Decent amounts of carbohydrates is ok, just don’t use butter and similar.. Naturally, you also have to pay attention to how these foods are prepared. French fries are not a low-fat food. Drink water, your body needs it and you won’t feel as hungry after drinking a lot of it. It also keeps you internal organs moving, very good. Simply drinking will not make you lose weight, as you probably understand. There is only one way to lose weight and that is to burn up the existing fat and water cannot do that. Do not rate the effectiveness of a diet on how much is lost during a single week, it is more complex than that. Also, use the help of the best fat binder product on the market right now. Also, many people believe that fat is very harmful. IFat is of course not harmful, we really need it to keep going. The body needs fat in order to get some vitamins into the system. Moreover, fat also brings into the body the essential fatty acids omega-3 and omega-6 that cannot be synthesized in the body. Too much fat is bad and too little is bad as well. Use your judgement!

Small Town Girl Talk: Beat Your Women’s Hair Loss with Wigs

Filed under: Building Beauty, Self Improvement Management, Web Of Health — admin at 9:42 am on Thursday, July 2, 2009

We never thought the breathtakingly human Chandra Upton, my life-long soul mate, could cover her head with medical wigs. Her voluminous hair styles was synonymous with her attitude. Have you seen her lately? There’s no question she is still celebrated for her impeccable looks. Not many in town even care that she utilizes wigs. Guess it’s no secret anymore.

As blossoming ladies in the hill country, we once swept all the beauty pageants. Of course, until her alopecia reared its head and her hair thinned spottily. I recommended a few human hair wigs. Even so she shrugged it off. The incredible woman somewhat obnoxiously unveiled her attitude.

At our alma mater’s baseball championship, we heckled until a numbskull purposefully slapped the puck (or however you say it) into the stands. My bff went to grab it when her cute little hat fell off, uncovering her naked head. Undisturbed, she tossed the ball to her man. She’s that kind of girl.

Of course, it eventually got to her. Months later at our semi-monhtly mid-day lemonade chat, where she sat me down and said that she prefers to do without hair out of bitterness. She dare not look at human hair wigs, though she knew it was a good idea. Suddenly she the punk turned flush red and demanded that I dismiss the notion. I didn’t know what to say.

I wanted to help so bad. Later on, I asked her about taking care of this wig problem. After a long deliberation we came to the obvious conclusion: we’d buy each other wigs We have a knack for making online wig shopping fun.

We had a ball wig shopping, flabbergasted by the wide selection of hair colors, textures and styles. We never imagined that lace front wigs could be so confidence inspiring for beautiful people and famous actors. These lace front wigs complimented her natural beauty. I put together an entirely contemporary wardrobe to match our wigs. We do it all together, you know. For my birthday she sent me her thanks for reuniting, and confessed it fosters a feminine mystique that she’d forgotten. It’s a relief to see my best friend live a happier existence. We both are.

Expect Innovations

Filed under: Informationer, Self Improvement Management — admin at 11:04 pm on Thursday, April 23, 2009

During down times in our economy there has always been great inventions and innovations com about. What happens is that during these times problems have to be solved or else peoples living conditions can get real bad. It creates for an environment where a new set of solution has to be implemented. We all can become complacent and not too enthusiastic about change, this environment can create change in a hurry.

When times are going really good not much time and effort is put into the figuring out of how to get out of the hole, it just does not make sense. When times are very uncomfortable then you have to think outside of the box, things have to change because there is no other way out.

During these times innovations will occur, and it is the perfect time to be one of those who innovate and improve things. It is especially important to take care of your body and your health; you might even consider taking a diet and weight loss supplement on a regular basis to stay energetic and lean. If you do this then you can be more likely to come up with some outside of the box thinking. There is always a positive to each negative and making the best out of what is available can help you take care of yourself and the ones that you love the most.

Concentration

Filed under: Self Improvement Management — admin at 11:06 am on Monday, June 2, 2008

How many of us today truly concentrate? Most of the time we try to do many things at once, multi-task, attempting to squeeze more into life and in the process sacrificing quality. Gradually the ability to concentrate is lost, which leads to various degrees of anxiety and disturbance, and the feeling of being overwhelmed and always having to manage an inner chaos.

Concentration produces manifold benefits. With it a task can be completed in a fraction of the normal time. It results in big savings of money and, more importantly, energy. Focused energy allows us to experience inner peace as all the noise of busyness, fears and faults falls away. It is an absolute necessity because only with full concentration can we tap into our own inner powers and strength and that of the universe and continue to increase and accumulate them. All great achievements and discoveries have been based on the power to concentrate, and the ability to detach the mind from all other matters and allow a clear channel for inspiration to flow.

When we are fully engaged in something, especially if there is recognition of the value of the task, to us personally, to another, or the wider community, then with both head and heart our whole being is immersed in the work with happiness. We are unlikely to be distracted or sidetracked.

Meditation is, without a doubt, the key to a concentrated mind. Concentration is the most valuable starting point, and one of the many treasures gained from it. The method of ‘open-eye’ meditation allows us to focus our eyes, our mind and our thoughts towards a point, the centre of our being, the essence of our pure self. In this form of meditation the outer world recedes opening a path to accomplish significantly more and experience inner peace. Open-eye meditation introduces focus, discipline and a tremendous amount of love as our vision expands to see the unlimited.

3 Keys to Making Your Dreams Happen

Filed under: Self Improvement Management — admin at 3:29 pm on Thursday, April 24, 2008

Are you a dreamer? Do you have a desire to do something great with your life? Do you have unique talents and gifts that you long to share with others? If so, then take your hand right now, tap yourself on the shoulder, and shout “Tag! I’M IT!”

That’s right! You’re it! You are responsible for making those dreams happen. No one else is going to do it for you. Not your boss, your co-worker, wife, husband, father, pastor or friend. You and you alone are responsible for making your God-given dreams a reality.

Too many of us surrender our dreams to others, chance, or the direction of a passing wind. For some reason, we are trained to think that dreams just somehow happen or that they can only happen if someone takes us under their wing and guides us on to our ultimate destiny.

Yet, the bible itself is power-packed with verses that tell us that we indeed have the power and the ability to do our dreams. It holds us completely accountable for what we have been given and it reassures us that God himself is enough. He will accomplish his dream in us if we just believe.

Self-help and success books are constantly prodding us to believe this truth. Titles like “Take Control of Your Life!”,” If It’s Going to Be, It’s Up to Me!” and “The Power of Believing” are just a few of the wonderful books on the market that support us in making our dreams a reality.

Nothing is going to happen if we do not take the initiative to make it happen. Here are 3 keys you can apply today to make your own personal dreams a reality.

1) Stop whining and start working! If you find yourself whining about the fact that your dreams are just not happening or that no one is taking you under their wing and guiding you to success - stop it! Remember, the cure for “E”motion is in the word itself. Drop the “E” and you find the answer - “motion” Motion, is always the key to dealing with emotion.

2) Believe and receive! Start believing that you are capable of making your dreams a reality. If you feel small and weak, don’t worry. Your belief should not lie in your own strength but in God’s power working in you. As you believe, you will receive direction, guidance, peace and ultimately the realization of your dreams.

3) Be dynamic and different! Realize that making a decision to do your dreams automatically puts you in a minority. Like it or not, you are different! Most people live a “settle for” life but you have chosen excellence. Therefore, you can expect to receive some flak. Being dynamic in your attitude and vision helps you rise above the norm. It is the key to keeping you “up” in a “down” world.

So take control of your life and dreams today and you will be well on your way to making all of your most passionate dreams real!
