We Offer B&B in the Village of Laxton in Nottinghamshire
Laxton is a small village in the midlands, dating back to 1066.
These days visitors can still see the site of the castle at the northern edge of Laxton, and witness the areas best preserved motte and bailey castle.
One can also see the beautiful, and attractive, village church that dates back to early 12th century and is still regularly used to this day.
Even so, what makes the village of Laxton really special is its continued use of the medieval farming system.
Laxton is the last remaining working open field system in Europe and you can explore the fields on your own or have a tour with a guide, that we will arrange if you want.
There is an information centre in Laxton with lots more information about Laxton and its history.
