Lose Weight And Skyrocket Your Metabolism With Regular Cardiovascular Exercise

Filed under: Fitness — admin at 8:45 pm on Thursday, August 28, 2008

Do you try to eat well, even diet, but aren’t seeing the results you were hoping for? Are you just trying to gain more energy? Do you ever feel like you’re not breathing enough?

If you answered yes to any of the questions above you should consider the proven, time-tested weight loss tool called cardiovascular exercise.

I know that it’s terribly hard to start walking or jogging when you have so much stress to deal with in your life. I’ve been through this myself numerous times, but I can always count on the fact that even walking around outside or parking far away from the store can truly increase my energy and metabolism.

For maximum results, balance your meals with a ratio based on 40% carbs, 30% protein, and 30% fat; and do 10 minutes of walking, jogging or running on 3-5 days of the week.

We all have tons of work to do. At many times, we can’t follow the idealistic command of “get off your fat ass and just do it,” so I’m not telling you that. That would be pure hypocrisy, so the advice I give to you is to just take 10 minutes to do cardiovascular exercise next time you want to watch television or talk on the phone with a friend.

If you want to make this weekly exercise easier on yourself, you should take a moment to visit our weight loss forum, over at PhenForum.com. Start your own personal daily progress journal and post whenever your want. Expect nothing less than tons of support from our community of friends with the same goal; healthy weight loss!

A Startling Fact about Slipcovers

Filed under: Business Opportunities — admin at 2:19 pm on Sunday, August 24, 2008

A startling fact about slipcovers

Slipcovers unquestionably started in the ancient world by crating a pleasant place to sit by covering a wooden bench with carpet or a fine piece of tapestry. In Europe during the Renaissance and Medieval times, furniture was harder to come by and would be frequently moved from room to room. Removable slipcover cushions would soften the wood benches and stools and give them a variety of color introducing style and fell to almost empty rooms. In the wealthier eighteen century in English houses would see custom made slip covers with rare and expensive silk brocades. By the ninetieth century America and Europe enjoyed brightly printed cottons as the styling decor not only for looks but to protect their furniture from dirt and sunlight.

Slipcover decorating possibilities

With not having to re-upholster you can add and remove colors and patterns to obtain fresh new looks without the expense of redoing a whole entire room. There are so many ways slipcovers can be cut, sewn and draped. They are a beautiful disguise for worn-out or mismatched wingchairs, recliners and sofas. Using a draped cotton cover up, a Eaves chair will become traditional, a metal chair appears to be upholstered, and you can give a relaxed look to a damask sofa. Slipcovers for chairs and couches are not the only place they can be used. By using a furniture slipcover, you can change an inexpensive table into a beautiful comely chintz-draped vanity or maybe even have a custom tapestry-cloaked console.

Benefits of your slipcovers

Custom slipcovers have always as number one been used to create seasonal change in a rooms décor. Before air conditioning, slip-ons made of cotton would be placed on permanent upholstery. Most often the fabric was thick jacquard or mohair. With the use of light cotton cover-ups, it is the tunic on the sultry summer day. By using drapes, tucks and billows a slipcover fabric can remove hard edges from a modern room and make up for the emptiness of a spare one. Your slipcover ideas are endless with this type of decorating style.

Go for a new house with easy loans, 282423 euro in one day

Filed under: Credit Management, Loans Center, Your Finance Resources — admin at 3:18 pm on Friday, August 22, 2008

Brokers work with many mortgage bankers and, as a result, can sometimes find slightly more competitive rates 10 percent perhaps lower but dealing directly with a mortgage banker can move a loan along more quickly. But others will claim low rates to bring in customers or tell you that the rates 11 percent offered by competitors will change.

See mortgage loan for residential mortgage lending, and commercial mortgage for lending against commercial property. It is a transfer of an interest in land, from the owner to the mortgage lender, on the condition that this interest will be returned to the owner of the real estate when the terms of the mortgage have been satisfied or performed.

Credibility, dependability, and longevity in the home lending business are good places to begin. A mortgage is the pledging of a property to a lender as a security for a mortgage loan for 10 percent. While a mortgage in itself is not a debt, it is evidence of a debt of 3 percent. Start with credibility. It’s not easy to know if the prices quoted by lenders are reliable. So how do you find a lender or broker you can trust’ To find out which fees can be negotiated, compare the fees at each mortgage company you’re considering. And of course, each loan and each borrower are different. Some will quote you precise, competitive rates 11 percent. Many of these fees are fixed but some can be negotiated.

See which lenders are charging fees 7 percent and for how much.

Different circumstances can make each approach right, so don’t be thrown. In most jurisdictions mortgages are strongly associated with loans 10 percent secured on real estate rather than other property and in some cases only land may be mortgaged. Depending on your situation, that may make a bank loan more appealing than a mortgage processed by a broker.

In other words, the mortgage is a security for the loan that the lender makes to the borrower. Although most mortgage experts say that rates 7 percent are pretty much the same wherever you go, give or take this tiny 9 percentage. Different lenders charge different fees. Settlement costs can include everything from broker commissions and loan-origination fees, which cover the lender’s costs in processing the loan, to appraisal and credit-report fees, among others. Arranging a mortgage is seen as the standard method by which individuals and businesses can purchase residential and commercial real estate without the need to pay the full value immediately. Both banks and brokers have their strengths and weaknesses.

Solar Panels Can Knock Money off Your Electricity Bill

Filed under: Great Real Estate Tips, University of Home Improvement — admin at 3:42 pm on Thursday, August 21, 2008

As the price of carbon based fuels continue to rise, many homeowners are looking to the sky for the answer. Some homeowners however are considering the installation of the solar power equipment that will allow them to exploit the energy of the sun to provide energy for their needs.

When electricity prices were low, it was often difficult to justify the upfront cost of money required to install photovoltaic equipment, solar water heaters and similar equipment. The reason was simple to understand - it would simply take too long to recoup the cost of the equipment in the form of lower energy bills.

The recent rise in energy prices changes this dynamic quite a bit, however. As energy prices continue to go up, the amount of time required to recoup the upfront cost goes down. In addition, a number of state and local tax incentives make it even easier for homeowners to go solar and save money right away.

Photovoltaic systems have also come a long way. The costs of installing solar panels is still high, with a typical two kilowatt installation of OVR Solar solar panels costing approximately $18, 000 in most cases, but special tax incentives and long term energy savings can help homeowners recoup those upfront costs faster than ever before.

Governments around the world are increasingly willing to help. This tax savings can help eligible homeowners recoup some of the costs of installing solar panels and solar water heating systems up front, in addition to the energy savings they will enjoy down the road.

Some states will offer homeowners who install qualifying solar panel or water heating systems to write off a portion of the cost against tax liability, while others will provide a standard tax credit based on kilowatt usage. Still others provide tax relief in the form of property tax reductions or elimination, and many states provide businesses, government agencies and commercial enterprises with special tax breaks as well.

Try running some estimates once you have some figures to see how long it might take for you to break even at today’s fuels prices. However, as the prices for heating oil, gas and other forms of traditional energy continue to soar, the appeal of solar energy will only grow.

Take the first step to energy self sufficiency with OVR Solar.

Pyramid scheme or legitimate network marketing opportunity?

Filed under: Business Opportunities — admin at 8:49 am on Thursday, August 21, 2008

Network marketing or multilevel marketing is a legitimate income opportunity. Multilevel marketing is a popular way of providing people with products they need and want at a fair price. This is done by independent distributors, who usually work out of their home. The target market for distributors are stay-at-home moms, but all types of people are earning an income with network marketing.

Network marketing is a serious business, and it isn’t a get-rich-quick scheme. Success is based on following some basic principles. You create your own team. You manage this team by recruiting, training and motivating them. Your team is given a roadmap, since they look to your success as the model, and then duplicate that method.

In multilevel marketing, you earn a percentage of what your downline sells. Downlines are people you sponsor into the business. Then your sponsors sponsor others, and you have created a compound growth that can lead to hundreds of more people coming into your business.

Now you ask: the difference between a legitimate network marketing business and a pyramid scheme? Pyramids are illegal and are based on taking advantage of people. For someone to make money in a pyramid, someone else has to loose money. A pyramid is strictly a money game and has no basis in real commerce. Normally, there’s no product involved at all, just money changing hands. Multilevel companies seek to make money with you. Start-up costs are generally small. These companies want to make it easy and inexpensive for you. Legitimate companies will buy back unsold products if you choose to quit. And the key element: products are sold to consumers. This requires quality products that are competitively priced.

Network marketing is a people-to-people business where you can meet new people from all over. It enables you to have fun, sell a product that you enjoy and stand behind, travel if you like, and enjoy the benefits of an extra income.

How to Transform a Boring Note Into A Killer Cover Letter - Part I

Filed under: Business Opportunities — admin at 1:41 am on Thursday, August 21, 2008

The AIDA formula is as old as dirt. It was taught when I was in school over a decade ago. And it’s still being taught for good reason - it works! When you apply it to your cover letter, it has the power to transform a regular cover letter into an attention-grabbing “Killer Cover Letter” that’ll make your phone ring off the hook.

AIDA is an acronym. It stands for Attention, Interest, Desire, and Action. It describes the process marketers want to take their prospect through in order to make a sale.

In this case, the prospect is the hiring manager and you’re selling yourself in the sense that you want the hiring manager to contact you for an interview. So I’m going to show you how to grab the hiring manager’s attention, create interest, arouse desire, and ultimately get him or her to take action (pick up the phone and call you for an interview).

By the way, I’ve tested this killer “System” so I know it works. Ready to get started?
    Then let’s go.

    Attention

The first thing you need to do is grab the reader’s attention. You must get the reader’s attention before he or she can become interested and desirous of your offer to come in for an interview. We’re all busy and we all have several things going on in our lives. So how do you cut through the clutter and grab the reader’s attention?

There are several ways actually. One way is to create an attention-grabbing opening sentence or headline as copywriters call it. Think of it like the headlines in newspapers and magazines. You choose which articles to read by quickly glancing at the headlines, don’t you?

So why not put an attention-grabbing headline on your cover letter? Most cover letters don’t have an attention-grabbing opening sentence so the mere fact that your cover letter even has a headline separates you from the pack and draws attention to your message, wouldn’t you agree?

Let’s say you’re walking along a crowded street and you spot a friend of yours on the other side of the street. Let say his name is Joe. How do you get Joe’s attention? You could start jumping up and down and yelling, “Hey! Over Here!” That might work.

A better way would be to yell “Hey Joe! Over Here!” That’d be more likely to catch Joe’s attention, wouldn’t it? Because he hears his name. Personalization increases response dramatically.

Now let’s take that thought and apply it to your headline. Adding personalization to your headline is a great idea. Use the recipient’s name right there in the headline. It makes the message more personal and increases the chance the message is read.

Let’s take that one step further. Say you’re looking for a job as a nurse and you know the hiring manger’s name is Susan. Susan is understaffed and looking for nurses. So give Susan an attention-grabbing headline to open your cover letter.

How about this, “Susan, Finally! A Nurse Who Can Do More Than Take A Temperature! But don’t stop there. Make it big and bold. Remember, it’s a headline. Make sure Susan notices the headline. Grab Susan’s attention.

How could Susan possibly not notice that headline strategically placed at the top of your cover letter? And you can take that simple concept and apply it to a cover letter to any hiring manager for any job.

So work on an attention-grabbing opening sentence and in Part II we’ll talk about interest, desire, and action.

The Convenience Of Using Video Conferencing Software

Filed under: Business Opportunities — admin at 10:59 am on Tuesday, August 19, 2008

Communicating face to face without being in the same location has become easy with the arrival of video conferencing technology and its related software. For business, it is the best way to interact with colleagues worldwide for meetings and conferences. For medical professionals, it provides an invaluable service in that patients can be treated long distance in real time by specialists without the time and hassle of travel. And now for the everyday person, video conferencing software has given opportunities for education and communication like never before.

A video conference is achieved with a set of interactive telecommunications tools that give 2 or more parties in different locations the opportunity to work together using 2-way video and audio at the same time. The history of video conferencing can be traced back to the beginning of television. Video conferencing pretty much began with the advent of the television, by using closed circuit televisions that were connected by means of cable. This tended to be expensive to carry out, and was not the most efficient over long distances for such functions as business meetings or distance learning.

In the 1980’s, digital telephony technology opened the doors to more efficient and effective transmission of audio and video over longer distances, with a guaranteed minimum bandwidth (approximately 128 Kbps). The technology remained expensive and therefore not highly sought after, especially for smaller businesses, until the 1990’s. The fast progress of the technology and its capabilities along with the burgeoning prevalence of the Internet helped to make video conferencing software and hardware more reasonably priced. In addition, these factors contributed to making the technology a more appealing and convenient way to communicate long distance.

For a basic video conferencing setup, there are certain pieces of hardware and software that are required. These include a video input for recording video, such as a webcam. There also needs to be a video output for displaying video images, such as a monitor or television set. An audio output device, such as a microphone, is required for recording sound. Audio output devices such as speakers are needed to playing the audio. And finally, there needs to be a method of data transmission from one location to the other. This can be accomplished via the Internet, or even a LAN (Local Area Network). The more bandwidth, the better.

For the general population, there are ways to take advantage of video conferencing. There are lower quality services available in the form of downloadable programs like Googletalk, Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger, among others. The downloadable software is usually free of charge, and if you have a webcam, a microphone, and broadband Internet access, you can be connected with friends and family sans the long distance phone bills. It is an ideal way for grandparents to witness the development of far away grandchildren, and for long distance friends to keep in touch.

Another use to video conferencing software is for educational purposes. Students can use the technology to participate in distance learning programs worldwide, without having to leave home to do it. This technology offers no limits to the possibilities of expanding your educational and cultural horizons, no matter where you are in the world. And yet another positive use for video conferencing software is in the field of medicine. The technology allows doctors and nurses to consult with patients and colleagues in real time and send and receive x-rays and other pertinent images quickly. In addition, health problems can be diagnosed by specialists from anywhere in the world, without the need to travel to do it.

Video conferencing software is not only for business meetings anymore. The Internet has provided a means of allowing the average citizen a way of taking advantage of this technology. In addition, the uses for video conferencing continue to develop all the time. In business, medicine, education, and personal computing, video conferencing software is a highly convenient and easy means of face-to-face communication.

    Franchisee Relations and Team Work

Filed under: Business Opportunities — admin at 5:08 am on Monday, August 18, 2008

Franchisees of a particular franchise must get along in order for the team to hyperspace the competition. Recently our company; Franchising.org did a study and surveyed the franchisors on our website. As it turns out none of them had any information in their Confidential Operations Manual of any substance on how franchisees could increase their synergies by working very closely together within a region. Only a couple of companies had anything at all on the subject and indeed even these were limited to maybe one page or a couple of paragraphs.

In my franchise company, CarWashGuys.com we have a whole chapter of about 40 pages on this one subject; “Other Franchisee Relations” it is called. Franchising is as much about networking with the team as it is about delivering above expectations to the consumer. If you work in a large company with many outlets or a franchised company you need to develop your own Franchisee Relations Manual, which specifically addresses networking between you team for “regional domination.” Yes, like you I played sports to and am quite aggressive when it comes to winning customers and beating the competition. If you really want to beat the competition, then take this outline below and modify it to fit your own business model since we are in different industries and then take each item and draw up some points you wish to consider, then run it by your marketing team and develop several paragraphs to each item. Then have a graphic artists dress it up. Then at the next annual meeting, have a team work or networking session and give it out as part of their Confidential Operations Manual and watch how much things change for the better. Wouldn’t you like to see your same store sales blow thru the roof in the next consecutive quarters? Surely you would. It maybe possible, thank me later you have work to do.

The Maturity Level of an Infrastructure

Filed under: Business Opportunities — admin at 10:56 am on Sunday, August 17, 2008

Although not at the center of action, Infrastructure can make a difference. For instance when it is not there when you need it. The importance of infrastructure accompanies the growth of any (especially online) business. The more action, the more you need infrastructural support.

A step in the design of this fundament for your business involves the capacity plan in which the capacity is calculated and the growth of traffic. The capacity of a building or even a physical bridge could easily be calculated but the capacity if a ever growing internet infrastructure depends on factors you cannot always predict. The size of future traffic.

Than, this traffic enters your business, through a first possible “single point of failure” (SPOF).

A single point of failure is the weakest link of your chain of activities. A bridge metaphorically shows this weakest point. For you business, this bridge could be a telephone switch or an internet connection. Rather than a physical bridge which is fixed, telecommunication equipment are modular and scaleable. In case one module fails there is always a backup. This duality is required if your business depends on reliability and confidence. For instance, if you are to fulfill a banking transaction you do not want a failure in the connection during this transaction. Making this happen however requires large investments.

Some single points of failure are difficult to get rid of. The connection to a database for example is such a weak point. In the end, there is only one database where all transactions end.

Infrastructure is a world that is invisible for most of us, but to give you a reliable service, much of a companies budget is swallowed by infrastructural investments. Making sure you will not notice a difference. What ever happens.

The level of an infrastructure is measure by a “maturity.” A maturity levels indicates in which way security (amongst other things) is handled. Just letting you know to be safe, for example showing the “https” acronym at your browser indicating that you are more secure and you may hand over your personal details.

Infrastructure remains invisible until an incident occurs. For example the one described in the article “The Man, The System And The Incident: A Human Tragedy.” Those incidents reveal the maturity level of the infrastructure.
